The 3 Kings Parade in Arguineguin was quite different to last years... There were no horses this time, the Kings were riding on a float decorated with gifts, their costumes were great.

It also seemed to start sooner too and move faster. I take pictures every year and they normally don't come out very well because of the twilight, but this year I managed to get nice bright piccies. I'll upload them when I get chance.

It was short and sweet, but the village was filled with people following the "cabalgata" down into the market square, where everyone gathered round the fire eaters, stilt walkers and music makers.

You can tell there is a recession and I read in a few local papers that other parades weren't as lavish as previous ones aswell. But, the main thing is the local children's faces as they waved to their favourite King and collected as many sweets as they could fit in their pockets and everyone seemed to have a good time.

After the parade most people headed off to do some very last minute shopping in nearby C.C La Marea Shopping Centre.
