3 Kings Parade 5th January 2010 - Maspalomas, Gran Canaria

We went to the san fernando one which did start rather late but was fantastic as ever the theme this year was disney and we had snow white, the evil godmother all the dwarfs beauty and the beast to name some. My kids managed to come home with enough sweets to feed a small army lol

That sounds fantastic! I think I might venture out to the San Fernando one next year. lol

We got pelted with sweets

I kept finding them in my hood

Can anyone tell me when the parade starts and from where in San Fernando please?

Hi mrsmadscot, welcome to the forum!

Forum member MaBaker might be able to tell you more, but according to Canarias7 newspaper, the Kings will arrive by helicopter at the Municipal Stadium car park in Maspalomas at 17:00 h.

The Kings will tour the streets of San Fernando de Maspalomas, accompanied by a cavalcade of seven floats and around 500 people.

Apparently it all starts at 16:00 h in the Stadium where there will entertainment with Disney characters, parachutes, gymnastics....

Can you just confirm if that's today or tomorrow? I thought 3 Kings Day was the 6th January.

Yes the parade is on today 5th January, that's when the Kings visit and then the 6th January is 3 Kings Day. So today the atmosphere is like Christmas Eve, full of excitement.
