Hya pet_al_2503 and welcome to the forums.

First of all I wish you a fab holiday in Altamadores this month. There is also a cash machine on Amadores Beach, but I would go to the one in the Europa Center personally as I have heard that the beach one runs out of money a lot.

In Puerto Rico C.C there are plenty as Andreya has already mentioned, although my preference is BBVA which is in the middle of the center on the left.

As far as I know you can pay for excursions with your rep with card which is handy to know (thomas cook) and don't forget - reception will change money and travellers cheques too.

Hi Vikki

We're thinking of booking a week in May - prices are great for AI and the reviews are good. We'll be going with our 4 year old. Is the complex ok for little ones? Will there be any entertainment or mini club at that time of year?

Thanks - great forum by the way

Hey Libby, thanks for joining..
The entertainment at the Altamadores normally starts the first Monday in May. There is a large swimming pool and a smaller one for the younger children. There is an activity place, where you can play football, basketball, tennis and various games.

When I was the entertainer there the activities started around 2pm, with pool games, quizzes, kids games, bingo. There is a kids club, but that is only in use in the Winter time. There is also evening entertainment and although there was no kids club the entertainer normally does a kids disco and games. Last year we had various live shows on such as Abba, Reptiles/Bird show, Acrobatic Juggling Show, Elvis and loads more....If you want to have a look at the Altamadores Website for more info click on the link below, have a look at the guestbook as you will see comments from previous guests ..... so you will be able to get a better idea of the complex.

Altamadores Puerto Rico Gran Canaria.

Although I don't work there anymore I have to say it was my favourite place to work and a lovely atmosphere. The views are beautiful of Amadores Beach, if you look on the link added there is also a gallery there which will show you more pics of the complex too.

I hope this helps and if you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask me

Thanks for getting back so quickly Vickki - Altamadores sounds great - and a bit of a well kept secret, so far anyway!! We've been coming to PR for the last 11 years or so, at least once a year, and thought that because of the value of the euro we would have to miss this year, but this is really good value and quality.

Just one other wee thing - when we've checked the prices on the various holiday providers they seem to be showing two different prices for the same week for example FindMeAccom.com is showing £362.00 and £443.00 for 2 adults and 1 child and freedom-direct is showing £369.00 and £455.00. Are there 2 different types of apartments? Either way any of the prices are great for a weeks AI, but just wondering if there was a difference in the rooms.

Thanks again
