Carnival is coming to Arguineguin

The carnival is coming to Arguineguin, on Tuesday 5th February until Sunday 10th February.

The theme is Grandes Musicales, which means Greatest Musicals and will take place mainly in the market square by the harbour, where you would normally find Arguineguin Market.

Make sure you go and check it out, get your fancy dress costumes ready. It?s ok if you don?t stick to the theme.

The main night is Saturday, where the big parade will come down the main street of Francisco Navarro, next to the Ancora Shopping Center.

The Carnival Queens of Arguineguin lead the parade, followed by floats full of party people, drinks flowing and music playing, its no wonder that everyone follows behind in full costume dancing to the beat.

On Sunday you will see men dressed as black widows, I don?t want tp spoil it for you so I shall say no more except everybody will folow a float that holds a giant Sardine (yes a big fish made from all kinds) which is then set on fire on the beach, with a grand firework display.

So the Carnival Costa Mogan has already began and is well underway. I hope you all make sure you pop down to La Plaza Negra in Arguineguin to join in with the fun.

Tonight is the Drag Carnival Queen @9pm so I can imagine that to be fun hehe

You will find that the island is full of street parties in Summer, although August there are no carnivals as such that I know of due to it being holidays.
