Tejeda - North of Gran Canaria

Tejeda is located in the north of Gran Canaria. If visiting I advise you take a jacket or cardigan as the temperatures are lower than in the south, due to the island being a miniature continant.

If you go in January you may even be able to see some snow! Yes snow! Take a look in our gallery and you may see some pictures of the snow there.

On entrance to the town you are aware of the temperature difference, a drop of about 10 degrees at least. There are some market stalls selling ponchos. The man with he donkey always seems to be there rain or shine let me know if you see him

Great meeting point for bikers due to its location, you will see lot of different bikes and people from all over.

I reccomend Restaurant Yolanda, which is visited by the rich and famous. Last time I went I sat in a chair previously sat in by Julio Iglesias. Everytime someone famous visits, they make a special leather backing to the chair they sat in with their name on the back.

Gorgeous food to be had here, traditional Canarian dishes and desserts. Fanastic service everytime.
