The Bar Cactus is our favorite bar. It is a traditional Spanish bar run by Paco and we believe it has been open since the opening of the shopping centre. We call in every evening while we are in Gran Canaria and have met people from around the world and made so many friends.

We were dissapointed when we were there recently and the bar was closed due to the problems relating to the electric but it was more than made up by the fact that we were welcomed at so many other bars of the friends we had made through the Bar Cactus.
We understand that Bar Cactus was reopening on the Monday after we departed so all being well will be back to its best when we return at Christmas.

Hi Lisa welcome to the forums. Jokers Nightclub is in The Shopping Center in Puerto Rico, on the bottom floor go half way into the centre and there is a staircase on your right going down underneathe the center, thats where Jokers is. Normally it doesn?t get going til the other bars shut at about 3ish, and then you might get stamped by some prs which is good coz you will get in for free then hehe

Bar Cactus is by far my favourite too....It's almost a second home!! Paco's brilliant....we used to go as a family from when i was about 9yrs old....when me and my sister go back he has great pleasure in telling people how's he's watched us growing up (slightly embarrassing!!). If we ever call home whilst we're having a drink in there he'll snatch the phone off us and have a full on conversation with the folks telling them how "naughty" we're being!!
